In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
